Easy Moisturizing with St. Ives

St Ives Fresh Hydration Lotion .jpg

Finding the perfect lotion to fit your every need is like staying one step ahead of Shonda Rhimes when it comes to the television show Scandal. It just ain’t gonna happen, bruh! Personally, I like a lotion that’s hydrating, has staying power but is also not greasy, smells good but won’t make me gag or want to take a shower because the scent is too strong.  I honestly thought that perfect lotion was nowhere to be found, that is until I was introduced to the new St. Ives® Fresh Hydration Lotion Spray. The Fresh Hydration Lotion Spray gives you moisturized skin without the heavy lotion feel. For me this has been a God send! I know that I’m not the only one who looks like a contortionist in the morning when putting on lotion. I simply can’t be!

Like most people the hardest part for me to apply lotion to is my back. I’m positively sure all the yoga in the world wouldn’t make flexible enough to stealthily apply lotion to the middle of my back. The new St. Ives Fresh Hydration Lotion Spray has a continuous spray nozzle with technology that delivers a 360° even spray at every any angle that moisturizes effectively, while feeling light and fresh on skin, never heavy or greasy. This makes that ordeal a lot easier. With a couple of quick sprays I know I’ve hit the hard to reach areas on my back and I can just rub in the areas I can reach. It even makes getting dressed in the morning a breeze. Just a couple of sprays and I’m out the door!

These lotions come in three unique scents, each having its own unique purpose and retail for less than $8! St. Ives® Naturally Soothing Oatmeal & Shea Butter Fresh Hydration Lotion is specifically for soothing dry skin. Its fragrance notes include white floral, gourmand, honey, almond, and coconut.  St Ives Soothing.jpg

St. Ives® Naturally Indulgent Coconut Milk & Orchid Extract Fresh Hydration Lotion leaves skin feeling smooth and indulges the sense with a light, luxurious fragrance.  Fragrance notes include guava, mandarin zest, pineapple, Lily of the Valley, pink orchid extract, Hawaiian jasmine, coconut milk, creamy musk, vanilla, and blonde woods. St. Ives Fresh Hydration Spray Indulge.jpg

St. Ives® Energizing Citrus & Vitamin C Fresh Hydration Lotion leaves skin feeling energized and refreshed thanks to Grapefruit extract and Vitamin C. Fragrance notes include a citrus blend of grapefruit, orange and lime, as well as soft musk patchouli.

I haven’t gotten on the spray lotion bandwagon yet ‘coz I have such dry skin I need to stick with body butter. But I think they must be a revelation for those who can use a lighter lotion.

  2. June 5, 2014 / 1:44 pm

Ooooh these sound nice. I totally forget my back 90 % of the time cause I cant reach either. lol.. I have tried the Vaseline To Go lotion and love it, but I am digging the scents of these ones. That Citrus one sounds yum and the Oatmeal and Shea Butter my skin would totally drink it up for sure. Great photos and I love the black and white with the main focus on the product being in color. Awesome!!!

I have never tried a spray on lotion. The Vaseline brand got such abysmal reviews I steered clear. I may try the Oatmeal and Shea Butter. I usually apply lotion to my back with a long handled pasta thingie with several old, clean, cotton socks pulled down over it and a hair tie twisted round. Hey, it works. It’s good for sunless tanner, too. 😛

I have the Grapefruit spray lotion and I love it. I think I might need to get the other two so the Grapefruit one won’t be lonely. Thanks for describing the scents. That helps a lot!

  6. June 5, 2014 / 3:58 pm

I’ve never tried spray on lotion.. when I need lotion applied to my back, I ask the hubby! lol. But, I have to admit, it gets ignored most of the time. But when I use my sprayer to apply oil, I always get my back, so it should have occurred to me that I can do lotion the same way! I think I need to try this.

I usually reach back and apply it pretty well that way. Maybe I miss a spot or two, so this spray on lotion would help me get those spots.
