Fall TableScape

If you follow me on Instagram then you know, I do a little dibbling and dabbling in the home reno/diy/What was I thinking category. Just this summer the hubs and I ripped out one of the randomly placedd cabinets in our kitchen and built a banquette. I was supposed to share this with you guys a long time ago, but I got super busy and well yea we have banquette!! Now that we can seat more than four people comfortably around the dinner table I decided that it would be nice to finally do something that I have been pinning all over Pinterest, a Fall Tablescape!

Since we are on a strict budget (trying to pay off a car in 2 years) I decided to use items that I already had around the house, and I was super excited to work in the plates that I’d purchased from Homegoods for $4.99 each last summer; they reminded me of the Kate Spade Larabee Road Polka Dot Tidbit Plates that retail $80 for a set of four.

On a return trip to HomeGoods two weeks ago I was lucky enough to spot the matching wine glasses. While there I also picked up the table runner. I opted for the Chevron to break up the pattern of dots. The napkin rings came from Bed Bath and Beyond. I like them because my kitchen has a slight country feel to it and I thought they would tie in well.

Other small knick knacks like the pumpkins, pine cones. flowers, and the crate with the Apples came from Michaels. I showed up at the right time because everything was 70% off! I think the red Hay was a great added touch to the centerpiece allowing it to really stand out.

Now that I have a Fall tablescape all I need are guest to come and break bread with me. I plan on keeping this table setup through Thanksgiving as I’m pretty proud of my first go at it.

What decorations do you have on your table for fall? Is it traditional or does it have a modern flavor to it?

Absolutely gorgeous. I miss doing these but our house is so small now… we don’t have the room for decor.

HomeGoods is my jam! I love mini apple box, but really, the whole thing is pulled together so well. What luck that you found those glasses! I cannot wait to have my own home and let my Pinterest dreams come to fruition 🙂
