NARS HardWired Lipsticks Review

Product Sent for Review Nars Cosmetics Hard Wire Lipstick Femme Fleur and Deadly Catch

The Nars Holiday 2014 collection is  as usual everything we’ve ever desired. What I was most excited about were the Nars Cosmetics HardWired Lipsticks which come in a new formula made exclusively for the Holiday 2014 collection . I’ve been sold on Nars lipsticks since day one and my latest finds from the Audacious Collection really help me realize that when it came to lipsticks Nars was on top. Today I’m sharing with you two of the three lipsticks from the Holiday 2014 collection. The lipsticks are described as having a rich texture while delivering a full coverage brillant glossy shine. Another thing that’s different about the NARS HardWired Lipsticks is that they come in a sleek black tube with the NARS Hardwired graphic on the cap. These tubes are unlike the audacious tubes which have a magnetic top.

Femme Fleur $26, is described as a brick red. While this is a brick red lipstick it isn’t as intense of a brick red as one might think. This is a satin lipstick with gold flecks found throughout. I like how this lipstick can be worn to the office or dressed up for a night out on the town with a hint of gloss.  Nars Cosmetics Hard Wire Lipstick Femme Fleur Nars Cosmetics Hard Wire Lipstick Femme Fleur Nars Cosmetics Hard Wire Lipstick Femme Fleur

Deadly Catch $26 is described as a crimson lipstick. It has more of a blue based and has a satin finish.  Deadly Catch, to me is that perfect red that you can where almost anywhere. It’s sorta like the cousin to Ruby Woo which is MAC’s matte version of a blue based red lipstick.  Nars Cosmetics Hard Wire Lipstick Deadly Catch Nars Cosmetics Hard Wire Lipstick Deadly Catch Nars Cosmetics Hard Wire Lipstick Deadly Catch

Thank you SO MUCH for this review!! I have been looking all over for a swatch/review/try-on of these two lipsticks from someone in my color range. Definitely going to purchase the brick red one- it’s so pretty!

You are soo soo soo welcome! I always try to do swatches on my face rather than on my arms since it’s still so hard to tell if that color would look good on you or not. Thanks for stopping by.

HI, Thanks for the review. Are you wearing a liner with the Femme Fleur? I purchased that one, but feel the need for a liner. I’m still on the fence about the Deadly Catch as I have Riri Woo and that’s been my goto red.

Hey Fallon, I did use a liner, it was more of reddish brown. I thought it would contrast well with the gold that was in the lipstick.
