The Disclaimer Room and Fabuloso®; A Love Story

Do you have that one room in your house that has to come with a disclaimer before you let people in? For me, it’s our gorgeous 1950’s bathroom equipped with the luxurious pink and black tile! Usually when people come over I direct them to our upstairs bathroom that has been renovated and has a calm spa feel, but sometimes people sneak past and want to use the more convient downstairs bathroom and I feel forced to explain why it still looks like this. The Hubs and I have made plans to renovate this bathroom every single year, but for the past two years we’ve opted to take our tax return and pay off our car loans instead of getting the bathroom renovated. We’ve vowed that we’ll get it done next year, but since we’re living Broke on Purpose and trying to become debt free I won’t hold my breath. If you take a look at the bathroom it looks completely functional, and it is! We can take baths, shower, and do everything else that you’d do in a normal bathroom except it’s not pretty and because it’s not pretty I always go a little overboard when I clean it by putting what I call the “Ultimate Smack Down” on it using Fabuloso® Multi-purpose cleaner to at least make it feel clean and inviting.

I don’t like mixing too many chemicals in the bathroom since it’s such a small space. This is why Fabuloso® is such a great product as it’s an all purpose cleaner that can be used almost everywhere in your bathroom. The grout lines in our floors aren’t the whitest, but with Fabuloso® I can get down on my hands an knees (due to it being a small space) and at least attempt to scrub it clean. My husband usually makes fun of me but as long as I feel it’s clean then I will scrub to my hearts content. I also use this all-purpose cleaner to clean mirrors, toilets and to whip down sinks and faucets. By the time I’m done the bathroom is spotless. I just wish I could scrub away the pink and black tile while I’m at it. Since most of our guest end up using this bathroom anyway *cringe* I can rest assured that the only issue they may have to deal with is the shock of the decor.

Another great thing about Fabuloso® is that it comes in various scents.Walmart carries tons of scents My favorite is Lavander as I’m all about creating a calm atmosphere. If it smells a bit strong to you in the beginning don’t worry, this is concentrated product and it needs to be diluted out. Once I’m done laying the Ultimate Smackdown on my bathroom I love to walk back in later and be swept up in the faint Lavander scent that is left behind. If Lavander is not your favorite scent there is also a Limited Edition Spring Bloom Scent that will fill your bathroom with the light scent of flowers.

Since our bathroom is not the biggest space I try to keep it as organized as possible. Before I thought I could get away with just putting everything under the cabinet with personal products on one side and cleaning products on another. This someimes work and other times it’s just a big mess. To help organize clutter I decided to utlize baskets so that everything would have it’s place. Now when I open the cabinent of the sink I don’t feel so overwhelmed and I don’t have to worry about knocking things over as I try to get to other items.
