Lancome DRAMA LIQUI-PENCIL Review and Swatches on Medium Brown Skin

Lancome DRAMA LIQUI-PENCIL can be found at your local Sephora Like most women, I absolutely hate drama. So when Lancome let me know that they were sending over a bag full of Drama I was ready to turn Mary J Blige on and let them know there’d be no Drama in this here dance soiree. Of course, I completely changed my tune when I saw that the drama they sent over was actually a bag full of the new  Lancome Drama Liqui-Pencil in 16 gorgeous shades.

The Lancome Drama Liqui-Pencil ($23) is described as an extreme, long-wear, high-intensity color liqui-pencil eyeliner. This eyeliner is the perfect mixture of a  high-intensity color liquid liner and the smooth application of a pencil.  Featuring a creamy, instantly blendable formula, it sets quickly for 24-hour wear without budging or fading.

Lancome DRAMA LIQUI-PENCIL comes in 16 new amazing shades Lancome DRAMA LIQUI-PENCIL

I fell in love with these gorgeous shades as soon as I laid eyes on them. Though I mostly stick with my boring black liner I was ready to switch things up a bit, especially with this collection having that eye-popping yellow.

My overall goal is to try out every color so that you all can see how each looks on the eyes, but with 16 colors I knew swatching on the eyes all at once would be a bit much so I gave you all a preview swatch below. While I was playing around with the LANCOME Drama Liqui-Pencil, I noticed a couple of important things that I felt needed highlighting.

  1. These pencils are unlike other pencils in that the liquid-like formula makes the tip really soft. I found that some of the points easily broke or left a small chunk of the tip behind when in use.
  2. You can’t sharpen these with a regular pencil sharpener and hope to achieve the point. After breaking a couple of points when doing swatches, I attempted to resharpen the pencils using my regular everyday sharpener. Instead of sharpening it basically just ate away at the pencil. When I switched to my MAC COSMETICS sharpener, which is a more precise sharpener, I was able to get a nice point again.
  3. Work quickly! These liners go on silky smooth, but dry super fast making them smudge proof. To fix a mistake, you will need to use a makeup remover as they will not come off with water.Stay tuned to my Instagram (@Being_Melody)  as I plan to feature all 16 shades of the liners The Lancome Drama Liqui-Pencil are available exclusively at Sephora and retail for $23 each. The swatches are very nice, I’ve wondered what they look like on brown skin. I’m so invested in UD 24/7 eye pencils and I have over 30 of them. If you have any, could you do a comparison. I still think UD’s are more sparkier and vibrant…not to mention cheaper.

I just bought this product and absolutely love it – it’s amazing and the colors are beautiful!! I was having issues trying to sharpen them so I thank you for the tip on the MAC sharpener. I just ordered one from their website – can’t wait for it to arrive and I’ll definitely be buying more colors of the liner too!!

You’re welcome! That MAC Sharpener has saved my life with MANY pencils. The regular sharpeners just destroy them.
