Why I don’t Sacrifice Comfort for Fashion.

Shoes on Display in a closet

I like to describe my fashion style as Cute and Comfortable. In my head, it doesn’t make any sense to walk around in shoes that require you to surgically remove your baby toe in order for them to fit.  Admittedly, there were many nights back in college where I found myself doing the “pigeon” walk because my feet hurt so bad after wearing shoes that were too cute not to wear with my outfit, but after an episode where I lost feeling in my big toe for over a week I learned my lesson big time and swore never to do that again.

Now, if I buy a cute pair of shoes I’m always sure to test them out in the store as well as at home before really wearing them out. This way I can determine if they’re going to comfortable enough for me and my pinky toe. One of my secrets for testing out shoes it at home is to put tape on the soles. This way you can walk around, do a dance, twerk, and workout in the shoes without worrying about messing up the bottoms. You’ll know in either a few minutes or maybe an hour of the shoes are going to agree with your feet or not.

Wearing shoes that hurt your feet can make you really uncomfortable and ultimately end up ruining a great moment. At least there is one part of my wardrobe that I never have to worry about when it comes to comfort. Thanks to the U by Kotex Curves® Liner’s even in my iffiest outfits I never have to worry about being uncomfortable in one of the most sensitive places. LMAO, I remember a time when I lost the feeling in my toe for a good minute too. I’m so with you on this one these days. It sucks though because I have so many cute shoes in my closet that gets no love.
