WeightLoss on my Terms

Before I go home for the Christmas Holidays I told myself I wanted to lose a bit of weight. I have several workout programs here at home, but I felt I needed to take more control over my weight loss and not leave it up to some program or strict diet. This past spring I took the 21 Day Fix challenge and dropped 6lbs in 3 weeks. I was happy with the results, but I was unhappy with the way I was forcing myself to live by the guidelines of a book and colored containers. This time I decided to approach weight loss differently. I decided that I would make a concious effort to eat healthier and workout out longer than 30 minutes adding a lot more cardio to my routines.

Admittedly it hasn’t been easy but I’m proud of steps I’m taking. I make sure to have veggies or a salad with every meal and I’m doing my darndest to stay away from anything fried. This has really allowed me to cut back on how much I eat out as there aren’t really that many healthy options available where I am.

Another thing I’m focused on is snacking. I used to keep a lot of snacks at my desk and I found myself mindless eating. Now instead of reaching for chips or candy I grab a piece of fruit or a protein bar. One of the protein bars I’m trying out now is the ZonePerfect  Perfectly Simple Nutrition Bar. These bars are high in protein, 200 calories or less, and even Gluten Free. There are tons of flavors to choose from but I chose 3 of the newer flavors that I thought I might enjoy. I’m sure these bars will help keep mmind off of junk food and stayed on my goal. Want to try out the ZonePerfect Perfectly Simple Bars? Print this coupon to take with you to the store.
