We went from Glam to Ghoul with Make Up For Ever for Halloween!

Last week a few lovely readers and I headed over to Make Up For Ever to take part in a private Halloween Class. This is one of the reasons I’m absolutely head over heels for this brand and why you will constantly see me talk about them on this site. Make Up For Ever not only offers amazing products, but they make sure you don’t walk out of there not knowing how to use them.

If you’re unfamiliar with classes at Make Up For Ever their 100% hands on, meaning they provide the product and you do your own makeup. We weren’t really sure what we were in store for with a title like Glam to Ghoul, but let me just say it included a lot of black!

For our Glam to Ghoul look we created a simply ghoulish smokey eye. As we went through each step Lamarra, our instructor for the class, taught us about the products and the proper ways to use them and King of Prussia boutique manager Phillip assisted. I’ve taken several of these classes but I always learn something new every time I take one. This time, I learned new way of applying  Aqua Brow. I even tried doing my brows the same way again afterward and they came out perfect! Using the Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow paired with the Artist Shadow in Onyx (S-102) found in the Artist Palette Volume 1-Nudes we created a smokey base which we blended out with Golden Beige (ME-512), which is a color you seriously need in your collection. Next, we added a touch of glitter that made us all feel a little better about the amount of black we just put on our face, but you know, glitter always makes things better. To line our eyes we used the Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Liner in D-12 and smudged it out with the S-102 eyeshadow to really smoke it out.

After completing the eyes our next step was to contour with black. Yes, black. We all gave Lamara a serious side eye when she said this. She had to remind us this was a Halloween look, to which we begrudgingly agreed. We blended out that black contour like our lives depended on it and I’ll admit I was feeling myself a bit afterwards because it looked so good!

Lastly, using the Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow I did my first ever black lip which brought the entire look together perfectly. Lamarra  topped my lip  off with a bit of glitter to give it a more glam and it turned out perfect!

We had an amazing time getting our Glam to Ghoul on and after the class even toyed with the idea of creating our own girl group now that we had the perfect looks!
