Falling for Olive in my Fall Fashion

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like Fall wasted no time showing up for its seasonal shift? Even though the weather has been pretty much rainy and gloomy the past couple of days I for one am ready for everything that Fall brings with it. You know, those deep berry makeup tones and beautiful browns, bulky sweaters and layers galore, oh and I can’t forget the footwork. My knee boots are ready to be taken for a stroll! Since life for me has shifted and I’m no longer in the lab I’ve been having fun experimenting with…

New Additions to the Spring Capsule

Is it spring yet? I’m asking for a friend. I realized today that I haven’t even cleaned the winter clothes out of my closet because well, it still feels like winter outside! I’ve been spending a lot of time putting together my spring/summer capsule because I have a pretty good feeling that we won’t have much of a spring this year and I don’t want to get bogged down shopping for one season specifically that’s too shy to really show up. Mixed Materials

Fur Scarf – Asos//Jacket Similar //Skirt Similar – English Factory//Head Wrap – The Wrap Life//Lipstick- Maybelline As I start to prepare my Spring Capsule I’ve been really thinking about all the fun and different looks that I can put together now that I don’t have to follow the strict rules from working in the lab. My Street Style

If you asked me about my street style, I’d say you’re probably going to find me wearing something with camouflage. Did you know Camo is considered a neutral? At least it should be. Navigating life is tough, and with my military family upbringing, I feel drawn to the safety of camouflage. It reminds me of my father. Finding my way hasn’t been easy though. I had a pretty simple and privileged childhood compared to others even though it still had its ups and downs.. I dealt with my fair share of bullying/teasing for my skin disorder and even went through…

I Took the Plunge and Purchased my First Tulle Skirt

I love looking through magazines to see what all the new styles and trends for the upcoming seasons are going to be. I live vicariously through the models and stylist because let’s face it, there is really nothing that grande going on my life that would warrant me leaving my house in half the things that I pin to my secret Pinterest board. I also worked in a lab where the rules were closed toed shoes and pants. My wardrobe although comfortable and cute basically screamed boring. After leaving the lab I decided I would be a little bit bolder in…
