Oh no she Didn’t!: Colored Shoes under the Wedding gown

Wedding are a time of joy and Love. They are also a time of stress, headaches, quarrels and anxiety. Lets be honest, traditionally you pick two colors and obsess over intercalating  those colors into all your wedding details. You obsess over finding the right dress, the right shoes, the right photographer, you budget and scrimp and save all for 5-6 hours of complete bliss. Of course while your planning anyone and everyone who has an opinion will opt to give it to you. Telling you what you should and shouldn’t do at YOUR day. This is exactly why I decided to go against the “traditional” wedding to make sure that this hellish year of planning was going to be more than worth it.  I decided that in true Melody form I would go against the wedding grain and incorporate theme’s and ideas that truly represented my personality.
Many people feel that you wedding attire should be completely white, ivory, or off white with that touch of “something blue” to throw a little color in. Well I decided to take that something blue and really give them bang for their buck. Instead of wearing traditional white shoes for my wedding I have opted to wear  these

These shoes are made by Jonathan Kayne. I ordered these shoes from Shoebuy.com. They are priced at $125.00 on the website but I was able to google and find a coupon that knocked these puppies down to $91.00 and gave me free shipping. The best thing about these shoes it that they don’t hurt my baby toe!!! Y’all know how important that baby toe is! They are very comfortable with thick soft padding in the insole and they run true to size which was great since I was ordering them online without trying on first.
When I showed my mom and grandmothers these shoes they were less then thrilled to see that I had not chosen a white shoe and couldn’t understand why I wanted to wear this bold blue. One important piece of advice I try to give to new brides is to not get lost in the wedding. This is your one and only day to be a princess, unless by chance your marrying a real prince in which case you will be a princess forever. But, incorporating your personality into your wedding will not only make you happy in the end but your guest will also enjoy seeing pieces of you and the groom sprinkled through.

Oh – girl after my own heart! Love the shoes, love the attitude. It's your day, so why not mix it up from the norm a bit. Hope all goes well. x

Thanks so much! I pray they don’t hurt me feet. They felt so padded though so I think I might be safe.
