Jalapeno-Mango Mojito

I participated in the Alizé Passion blog program as a member of One2One Network. I received compensation, but all opinions are my own.

This Jalapeno Mango Mojioto is a sweet yet spicy cocktail guaranteed to be the hit at your next get together. #alizeincolor

One of the reasons why summer is my favorite time of year is because I get to plant things in my garden. It helps me to forget about everything that’s going on and focus on the beauty of nature. The first couple of years I was pretty ambitious and had almost everything under the son. This year I only planted lavender a variety of peppers my garden as they seemed to be the only things that I used the most throughout the summer months. I try to utilize peppers in almost everything, but I’d honestly never thought about adding peppers to a drink until my friend jokingly suggested that’s what I do with all the excess peppers I had hanging around.

I wanted a drink that had a nice kick but was still rather enjoyable. Since I had some mangos hanging around that were becoming pretty ripe, I decided to create a Jalapeno-Mango Mojito using Gold PassionAlizé as my liqueur of choice.  Alizé is a line of premium liqueurs imported from France. Alizé Passion infuses premium French vodka with passion fruit nectar and all-natural flavors found in the world’s most exotic regions. I remember havingAlizé in my late college days. It’s a flavorful liqueur that mixes well with other ingredients.  If you’re not a huge mixologist all no need to worry as Alizé is made to be enjoyed by itself over ice.

This recipe is probably my favorite out of all the drinks that I’ve made. The fresh ingredients really set this drink apart from others as the flavors blended exceedingly well together. If you’re worried about the heat from the Jalapeno’s don’t be. You can make this drink as spicy as you like. If you want a mild drink just add one jalapeno. If you really want to feel the heat add 3 or more and shake well.

Alize is available nationally in three flavors and retails for $19.99. You could easily change out the fresh pureed mango for pureed strawberry or blueberry and create this same cocktail with either the Bleu Passion or Red Passion Alize flavors.

Gold Passion  blends the intensely flavored and aromatic juices of exotic passionfruit.
Red Passion  blends sweet, vivid passion fruit and crisp, tart cranberries.
Bleu Passion ( is an infusion of delectable passion fruit, fresh cherries and a hint of ginger.

If you’re not too keen on my Jalapeno-Mango Mojito Alize as several other recipes for you to try. For instance, this Golden Rita with a Chili Salt rim is a great alternative to my sweet and spicy drink. Scroll down further for the recipe to my Jalapeno-Mango Mojito.

I must admit, I have not had many mojitos to date! Your recipe looks and sounds great! Sign me up to be your taste tester as sense I could enjoy one or two of these right now! I wish I could come through the screen and have a sip right now!

I’d never had a mojito until I cruised on a ship with a mojito bar earlier this year, and now I love them! I hadn’t considered using jalapeno in my homemade drinks, but that sounds like a splendid idea!

P.S. I just have to tell you that I love the photos in this post, the styling is just lovely : -)

Now, now this is so interesting. I’ve had a chocolate cayenne smoothie and it was yummy. I’ve also had a pepper infused red iced tea and it was also good. I love mangoes and I would love to try this drink.

I usually shy away from drinks that have a savory aspect but this one actually sounds like it’d have a good balance with the sweetness

Haven’t had Alize in ages! I’m always down for fresh fruit in a drink though, sounds interesting

I am looking in my pantry now trying to see what all I have because I need to make this now. I am not a fan of jalapeno but in my drink…I am curious

Oh my goodness I love mojitos! And I am not shy about the jalapenos either. I got used to drinking ginger drink from Jamaica which packs a bit of bite and after awhile I got to where I craved it. This certainly looks like a drink I would want to try.

This seems like the perfect drink for Texas! It’s sweet with a little bit of a bite!

These drinks have summer written all over them! I love the sweet and hot in the mojito. I would be scared of getting a jalapeno that was too hot. I’m kind of a baby when it comes to spice. Your pictures turned out really good I can almost taste those drinks now.

I love the look of this. But I don’t handle heat very well. I’d rather leave the spice out of my drinks.

It both looks and sounds absolutely AMAZING! Mango is one of my favorite fruits and combining it with jalapeno sounds fantastic. How much of a kick does the jalapeno add to the drink? I’m need to try this. Great photos by the way!

I don’t really drink much, but I am going to need try to make this at my next dinner party…
Thanks for sharing this… It is really cool.

This looks really good, that bottle of Alize in the picture really took me back. I’m talking way back to the late 90’s. I didn’t even know they still made it. Now I’m curious for old times sake.

Oh my word! These are all of my favourite flavours. I just LOVE jalapeños, and mango too! The drink sounds really nice and I am definitely going to give it a try. Thanks for sharing 😀

I know its mid morning, but now I am thirsty. Its after 5 pm somewhere, right? Ah, who needs those rules 🙂 Seriously this looks amazing and refreshing all at the same time! It is on my to-make drink list!

I like mojitos but never would have thought to put jalapenos in it. I don’t really like spicy foods though so I probably would have never thought of it. I still try to figure out how people drink Bloody Mary’s. I can’t get over what’s in it. If a friend made it though I would taste it but probably not on my own. Thanks for sharing this out of the box recipe.

I’m not a mojito fan, but I love Mangoes! This looks so good.

  18. August 25, 2015 / 4:13 pm

I still have not tried this Alize. But I love the idea of adding a pop of jalapeno to a mojito. Yum, yum. And any time I can drink out of a mason jar, the better I feel. There’s just something about the whole drink-in-jar that makes me feel like I’m back home in the south. Its warm and comforting.

  19. August 25, 2015 / 6:35 pm

Now this is my kind of drink! Definitely have to try this recipe out. Thanks for sharing.

This. Looks. Amazing. I love mango so this looks truly decadent. I am saving this and I am going to try it this weekend!

Thanks for the new recipe! I love mojito’s and can add this to my liquor cabinet!

  22. August 30, 2015 / 4:42 pm

You had me at “mojito”! LOL! Mojitos are absolutely one of my favorite mixed drinks and the best ones I ever had were when I was in Brazil. I’m going to have to try this recipe–and I KNOW my sister who loves anything spicy, will appreciate the “kick” from the jalapenos.

Looks like such a fun drink! Almost too pretty to drink, thanks for the recipe…
