How I scored my first pair of Valentino RockStud Pumps for almost half the Price.

Usually, my husband only allows me to splurge on household items or electronics. There are only two things that I seriously want right now, and that’s a 27inch iMAC and a pair of Valentino Rockstud pumps. I was surprised when my husband offered to come with me to try a pair on, you know so I’d know my size just in case a deal popped up. Deep down inside I was hoping he would say “Baby, I got a huge bonus at work, and I want to treat you to these shoes you’ve been wanting.” As you probably assume from reading this post that scenario didn’t happen, but he did help me pick out a great pair, and I found out that in the Valentino Rockstuds I was actually in between sizes. I owe this to a major foot injury that I had this past summer where I was unable to walk correctly for three months. It turns out that my right foot is slightly larger than my left foot now putting in my between sizes 40 and 41. The sales associate assured me that I could get away with a 40.

A couple of weeks later one my good blogging friends Christine over at the 15minuteBeautyFanatic alerted me that Rue La La would be having a Valentino Shoe sale. While, I’ve never shopped at this site before I figured if she shopped there then it had to be legit. So, here I am staged in front of my computer, ignoring the fact that I needed to  saponin lyse parasites for a time point, waiting for the sale to open. When it did, I rushed in like it was Walmart on Black Friday and of course the pair I wanted, a black patent leather, were sold out in my size. I did however find a nude pair in a size 40 and after talking it over with my fashion council I quickly scooped them up.

Unfortunately, a 40 in the patent leather just didn’t work out for my “bigger” foot, and I ended up sending them back. Fast-forward to cyber Monday. I had no intentions on doing any shopping, but something told me to open up the email that I’d just received from Farfetch, which is is a website that connects fashion boutiques all over the world to create an amazing shopping mecca! The email offered and add’l 20% off of sales. As I scrolled through the site I quickly began to fill up my cart. 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli bags were on sale as well as Alexandar Wang Rocco duffels, it was like I was the little mermaid, and I just needed everything! I decided to check out the shoes and to my surprise Valentino Rockstuds were on sale. I quickly scrolled through and soon found myself becoming less excited as most of the options that I liked did not have my size. That is until I stumbled upon these VALENTINO GARAVANI RockStud SlingBack Pumps in Dark Grey. There was only one pair left and low and behold they were in the size 41. I quickly added them to my cart and consulted my fashion council. I had to have these right? I mean this was a sign from God! A pair of Valentino Rockstud Pumps marked over 40% off!!!

Of course, I pulled the trigger, and I waited impatiently as my shoes were delivered expeditiously from a boutique in Washington D.C. As I tried them on I’m pretty sure I felt the way Cinderella was feeling when the Prince had her try on the slippers she lost from the ball. The shoes fit both my feet perfectly, and I am in love with the color, as it’s so neutral that they can be worn with anything. In the end, I saved $473 on shoes that originally cost $1075! Now if only I can come across an iMac with the same type of discount.

 

Valentino Rockstuds usually never go on sale but I have found them marked between 30-45% off on the Valentino Website, Rue La La, and Farfetch so far. No luck with the department stores ever including these shoes in one of their sales as they usually are a huge seller for the store.
