Nars Cosmetics Summer 2016 Color Collection on Medium Brown Skin.

Nevermind the fingerprints all over the sleek black Nars packaging we’ve all come to love, you’re only going to be interested in what’s on the inside as I’m sharing with you some of the items from the Nars Summer 2016 Color Collection! When the Nars Cosmetics Summer 2016 Color Collection was first revealed we all went crazy over the boxes illustrated by LA-based Greek painter Konstantin Kakanias . I was kind of bummed when those cute drawings of the girls living their best lives on vacation didn’t make it on the actual cases, but at least we got some bomb colors inspired by the French Rivera to make up for it.

The collection holds two Dual Intensity Blush, of the two I chose Liberation because I wanted something brighter for summer. The blush colors are described as Light Pink and Caramel Rose which I think would look amazing on my skin tone.  There are also four dual intensity eyeshadows two gorgeous shades of blue, a lighter pink/champagne color and a rich hazelnut. Since I’m not a huge color person when it comes to eyes I chose the shade called Tan Lines which is the rich hazelnut. 

I love both of the Lip Covers that I chose! Seriously, I’m head over heels in love. Of the four lip covers the two that I chose were “Do Not Disturb” and “OverHeated”. Do Not Disturb is a vivid orange-red that made it into my must have Red-Orange Lipsticks list and Over Heated is described as a deep dusty rose which came out looking like the perfect nude for my complexion.

I have arm swatches of everything below so that you can see how well the blush and eyeshadow colors translate with my skin tone. You’ll also be able to really see the deep dusty rose color from the Lip Cover overheated as it doesn’t translate the same on my lips.
