In the past my if you would have asked me what my favorite makeup product was hands down I would have told you lipsticks. Seriously you have to check out my Instagram to see my insane lipstick collection, it’s kinda ridiculous. While I still like a good lipstick I’ve found that I now gravitate more towards Bronzers and Highlighters. It’s as if my makeup look isn’t complete without them.

Let’s start with Bronzers. Bronzers give your skin that extra boost. When choosing a Bronzer choose one that is one shade deeper than your skin tone. I love to mix a little bronzer along the edges of my blush to add some warmth and a bit more color to my cheeks. You can also place bronzers along the perimeter of your face to add more warmth to those areas. Some of my favorite Bronzers are the BlackUp Cosmetics Subblime Powder, NARS Tahiti Bronzing Powder and the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Duo in Golden. You can also use MAC Cosmetics Gold Deposit as a bronzer, but sparingly as it has tons of shimmer. You can check those out by shopping the widget below.

Highlighters took the beauty world by storm as almost every beauty company came out with  special highlighters or products made specifically for strobing, which is just highlighting on crack. The thing about Highlighters is that they aren’t one size fits all and on certain skin tones (brown-darker tones) they can come off very ashy and unappealing. What I do love about a good highlighter is that they really make your cheeks pop. Highlighters are a gift to us ladies with high cheek bones so I embrace them with everything I have.  Highlighters can be used on the cheeks above the blush, as well as in the areas where one highlights and contours like the apple of the lip, forehead, chin, and down the strip of your nose. My favorite highlighters include MAC Global Glow, Becca Cosmetics Rose Gold, and Champagne Pop Highlighters, along with the Becca Cosmetics Rose Gold, and Champagne Pop Highlighters. I’ve added them to the widget below for you to check out.

Many Bronzers and highlighters are great to use for Highlighting and Contouring. The Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Duo is the perfect product for this. If you’re looking for a set of highlighters to try out check out the Hour Glass Ambient Lighting Holiday Palette which features the three shades in the palette featured above plus three extra highlighting shades.

Do you have a favorite shade of Bronzer or Highlighter? Share it with me in the comments so that I can check them out.
