The Beauty of Nature

This year I took on a lot of responsibilities. Between being a PhD student, wife, blogger, and trying to make my home look like the cover of a HGTV magazine I sometimes burn myself out.  After feeling a lot of things get piled on my shoulder I learned that it was okay to say “No” and that good leaders know how to delegate as opposed to taking on a project all by themselves. Sometimes when I’m stressed I like to just sit outside and enjoy the beauty of nature. One of my dreams is to have a beautiful cottage garden filled with colorful foliage and flowers. I want to create the perfect peaceful place where I can go and sit and just enjoy the beauty of the world.

Perennials in my yard are slowly starting to blossom and so I’ve been snapping pictures like crazy so that I can capture these gorgeous images and frame them to create a flower wall in my living room. I’ve also been lucky enough to get some great shots of the friendly insects that come to visit. I can’t wait for the annuals in my front yard to really take off!

We often times get so caught up in what society says is beautiful that we forget that real beauty is right under our noses.
