Labor Day has come and gone. Now the only thing left to do is to put up all your bright whites and prepare for the flavors of fall. Apples, Pears, Pumpkin, and Cranberries are some of my favorite foods to enjoy during the fall season. Since there is Pumpkin Spice galore everywhere you turn I try to incorporate the other flavors of fall into our family meal plans.
My husband loves granola. He’s always putting it on top of his yogurt and making homemade parfaits. I can’t complain since he’s eating healthy, but sometimes I want him to get creative with his Granola usage you know. The other morning I decided to surprise my husband with a different type of breakfast featuring Granola.
Poached Pear is usually a recipe saved for desserts at fancy restaurants. I figured Poached Pear would make a great healthy breakfast if paired with my husband’s Granola and of course if I left out the ice cream. For this recipe, I forwent his usual Granola for a newer flavor from Bear Naked. Bear Naked’s Sea Salt Caramel Apple Granola, a new fall flavor, is a unique sweet and savory combination perfect for breakfast or snacking. The mix of sea salt, tangy apple pieces and bits of caramel create a delightful flavor that’s almost irresistible. As I was poaching the pears, I found myself blindly munching on the Granola. It’s really that good. It’s probably good that I picked up the Bear Naked Sea Salt Caramel Apple Granola from BJ’s WholeFood Store. The box comes with three large bags of Granola so we have enough to last us a couple of months and only retails for $8.99. There are even few coupons out right now which will bring the cost down significantly. If you have a smartphone you can use the Ibotta App for a $2.00 coupon and there’s even an in-store coupon at BJ’s for another $2.00 off.
My husband absolutely loved this Poached Pear with Sea Salt Caramel Apple Granola recipe and I am sure you will too. If you’re tired of those same old mundane breakfasts or want to do something besides put your Granola on top of yogurt fuel up with this Granola and Poached Pear recipe. I’ve included the recipe below so that you can make it at home. If you want to see what else is new from Bear Naked be sure to head over to their facebook page. You can find the Sea Salt Caramel Apple Granola in the Cereal/Granola Aisle of your local BJ’s.

I love pears and I love granola, so this would be the perfect dessert for me. It is quite elegant looking. I have showed this to my husband and it is on our to make list when we have date night at home! Yummo!
I can’t even begin to describe how fantastically amazing that looks. That’s seriously the best thing I’ve seen all day. I will absolutely be making this. I will also be throwing a big old scoop of vanilla ice cream on it. =)
Your pear turned out amazing! This looks so good. I know apples and caramel go together so well I never would have thought to pair up with a pear like this! I am going to have to try this out!
Your pear looks delicious! I’m not a big pear fan but would try it with other fruit since I AM a big granola fan. I’ll have to add it to my shopping list on ibotta! Thanks, hadn’t seen it on there before.
Oh my word how delicious does that look. I love how fall-ready your tablescape is! I need to whip out my little velvet pumpkins and decorate the house, even if it’s going to be 100*F today, I’m so ready for fall! I’ve never heard of the store BJ’s before – kinda looks like a Costco, right? I so need to make this pear dessert, ugh, yum!
That looks absolutely delicious. I am a big fan of pears, but not poached pears. This one looks yummy, though, and I think I can this. It looks pretty and I’m sure it tastes good, too.
This looks like the perfect complement to any fall meal. I will definitely add this one to my recipe collection to try out this fall as soon as the temps start sliding in the proper direction. Somehow it just doesn’t seem like it would taste nearly as great on a warm day as it might on a cool evening! Thank you for sharing.
Looks delicious! There are so many delicious possibilities with this granola! #client
I have NEVER made poached pears before I have always wanted to. I would pair it with a delicious wine! I saw someone make them with a wine glaze before and it looks AMAZING. These are perfect for fall.
Shut the front door… this is so delicious and so easy. I’m not a great cook so when I find a recipe that is super easy to make, I bookmark it. DONE!
This poached pear with sea salt caramel apple granola looks AMAZING! What a perfect dessert on a special occasion! I love how good for you that this is but it looks like it tastes delicious!
